We own and operate WaLaw Realty, our affiliated real estate brokerage company. Through WaLaw, we can provide you with access to the Northwest Multiple Listing Service (NWMLS, or more commonly just MLS), the database owned and operated cooperatively by real estate brokers in Washington. Through the law firm, we provide comprehensive legal representation.
We charge a flat fee for both the legal and the broker services so that you don’t have to worry about excessive fees. The total fee (a portion to the firm, the balance to WaLaw) will probably be less than 1% of the sale price (and possibly much less), which represents a substantial savings when compared to the comission paid to a “traditional” agent.
For sellers seeking to short sale their home we work in collaboration with WaLaw Realty and charge the traditional 3% listing commission (rather than our usual flat fee). A 3% selling commission is also offerd to the buyer’s agent. There are no upfront charges and we’re only paid upon successful closing of the transaction.
We are particularly well suited for sellers tempted to go the route of “For Sale by Owner” (or FSBO) but hesitant to forego listing on the MLS. Sellers who forego an agent should at least consult an attorney.
